Gina Walters serves as the Global Institutional Chief Operating Officer at Manulife Investment Management (MIM), where she leads operational execution for the firm’s institutional business on a global scale. In her role, Gina is responsible for driving operational excellence, advancing strategic growth initiatives, and evolving the firm’s global operating model through data-driven insights and collaborative leadership.

She oversees several critical business functions, including the Global Business Office, Distribution Enablement, Business Intelligence, and Global Investor Services, which includes RFP management. Gina is widely recognized for her ability to build high-performing teams, strengthen operational infrastructure, and create scalable solutions that support long-term organizational growth.

Prior to her current role, Gina served as Head of Global Product Strategy and Chief Operating Officer for MIM’s global retail channel, as well as Head of Retail Strategy. Throughout her distinguished career in asset management, she has held senior leadership positions across strategy, product management, and product development within Manulife Investment Management and John Hancock Investments. She began her career in the financial services industry at The Hartford Mutual Funds.

Gina earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Syracuse University and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Gina is passionate about community impact, education, and empowering future generations through literacy and financial knowledge. As a supporter of The Renwick Literacy Foundation Inc, she is committed to helping expand access to educational opportunities and strengthening communities through learning. Gina resides outside of Boston, Massachusetts with her husband and their two sons, Miles and Theo.
